A growing number of funding agencies and universities reimburse the costs of publishing in OA journals. Here's a preliminary list of such initiatives.

If your research is funded by NWO (The Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research) you are entitled to apply to the Incentive Fund Open Access Publications. The costs for publishing in peer-reviewed open-access journals will be reimbursed entirely:

If you are the corresponding author of an article and you are employed as a researcher by Utrecht University (Netherlands) you can apply for the Open Access Fonds Universiteit Utrecht (website in Dutch):
